The Landing Pad

The Landing Pad is an orientation space, designed to teach you the basics of how to get around, and to give you an idea of some of the many things there are in SmallWorlds to see and do.

On first arriving in the Landing Pad you will be invited to watch a short video.  There are also a number of doors leading from it, each of which will trigger tutorial missions.

Basic Training

If this is your first time in SmallWorlds, we encourage you to go through the Basic Training door first.  Here you'll learn the basics of how to get around, to chat and emote, and to interact with different items.

Once you've completed Basic Training, pick any of the following doors:

  • Hang Out - This mission series will earn you Social XP.
  • My Room - This mission series will earn you Explorer XP
  • Games - This mission series will earn you Gamer XP
  • Create - This mission series will earn you Artist XP

We'd suggest you start with the Hang Out door and go through them in order.  Each time you finish a mission series, come back to the Landing Pad and go through the next door to start the next series.

Advanced Training

Once you've been through the other doors, go through the Advanced Training door.  Advanced Training covers the following:

  • Citizen Levels
  • Interactions
  • Staying safe in SmallWorlds
  • Alerts
  • Space security
