March Collectible - Spike the T-Rex

March 1, 2010 2:44 PM

Hello citizens, it's the first of of the month today and as most of you know, this is the day we release the new monthly collectible! This month we say a fond farewell to Lao the Golden Tiger and move onto someone a lot more dangerous... I think?

Introducing Spike The T-Rex

This guy's ancestors were a toothy and aggressive lot. Dear little Spike's great-great-great-grandparents were famous in dinosaur history, being none other than Dennis the Destroyer and Annabelle the Assassin. Spike's parents kept photographs of them hanging above his bed when he was a very young T-Rex, trying to inspire their little boy to snarling greatness, but to no avail.

Spike just missed out entirely on the whole "cross my path and you're breakfast / lunch / dinner" sentiment. Just like Ferdinand the Bull, Spike would much rather make friends with his fellow creatures. Take a look at that face; he looks so sweet I don't believe he would hurt a fly!

As you can see from the group shot above, Spike boasts fabulous spikes all the way from his head, down his back to the very end of his tail. Chasing down prey while snarling wildly just isn't terribly interesting to Spike - however I have heard that he's really into dancing. Oh yes, I'm seeing a vision of T-Rex conga lines in Cue Club, T-Rex Salsa Dancing in Smallwear; perhaps a Dino-inspired Waltz in Woodlands Park!

Spike - One of the Cutest Investments you're likely to make!

Spike is on sale in Mysterio's in March 2010 for only 2000 Gold. He is available to all SmallWorlds citizens no matter what your XP levels. It's worth remembering that Monthly Collectibles have always gone up in price in the months after their release, so they make a truly wise investment! Perhaps you want to build up your own collection, or maybe you'd like to hold onto him for a while and sell him at a healthy profit - it's up to you.

Buy Spike in March for only 2000 Gold while you can; who knows what you'll have to pay for him in a few months time. And finally, to honor the memory of Dennis and Annabelle - I could really only think of one thing to say that seemed appropriate:

"ROOOOOAAAAAARRRR!"

Oooo sorry Spike!...(he got a bit of a fright there). And to all SmallWorlds citizens, I hope you enjoy your March collectible!
