Learn How to Draw a Strawberry in 12 Steps

In this tutorial, Mark teaches you how to create your very own strawberry painting in only 12 steps. So what are you waiting for? Get out your graffiti canvas, and let's get started!

Follow these steps to paint your own strawberry:

1) Prep the background as shown below.

2) Draw a red heart shaped blob.
Settings colour shade 831508, Max thickness, Max Opacity

3) Add light highlights
Colour B82c28, thickness 30, Opacity 20
Make many strokes in circles and blend in highlighted area with the rest of the red blob

4) Similarly add dark highlights
Colour 941b18, thickness 30, Opacity 20

5) Add random dots all over
Colour 881c19, thickness 13, opacity max.

6) Add highlight rings around the dots
(refer ref image to where you need more highlights) So these with a light opacity and many layers on top of the other to highlight some areas more than others
Colours C03d4a and a43e3b, thickness 8, opacity 20

7) The shine (white & orange) - draw few squiggles with long strokes to highlight these areas
Colours f1c8c1 & e57931 ,thickness 1, opacity 80

8) Highlights on the dots: Draw little spots on the top right of the dots
Colours 8e5c51, 8 thickness, max opacity

9) Draw the shape for the leaves
Try and do this with a single stroke and draw little circular squiggles in the shape of the leaves (imagine they were animatedly growing out of the center and draw each leaf shape out from the center)
