Painter Tutorial ~ by Milana Estona

I was nothing short of delighted to come across this fantastic tutorial on the forums all about our fantastic new Painter application - it's the result of a lot of hard work by Milana Estona. If you're coming to grips with all the great new features that we've added into Painter, this will really speed up your learning curve!
If you're new to SmallWorlds, you might like to take a read of the article we published last week, announcing the launch of Painter. In addition, here's a link to Milana's original forum thread.
I met Milana briefly today and we had a short chat about the new application. I asked her what she liked about it and here's what she had to say!
I was just getting the hang of the old painter, when lo and behold, SmallWorlds comes up with this ingenious new application. I struggled at first to get the hang of the new tools, and develop a technique, but I'm getting a lot better. The extra paint limit and new brush types allow me to create paintings I could hardly start with the old boards!
I think this new painter is absolutely fantastic! The thought of people being able to create works of art on a computer, with limited paint, boggles my mind! This painter makes it even better! With practice, anyone can be a great artist. It just takes time and effort. Don't give up if the first doodle you throw on the canvas isn't satisfactory. Keep trying! The best paintings are the ones that came from dozens of unsuccessful doodles.
Thanks Milana, I've certainly enjoyed seeing the recent efforts being posted in the Art and Creativity forum. Lets take a look at your great Painter Tutorial!
