Junior Alley Artists
Hi there art lovers!
It was with interest and excitement that I noticed this thread a few weeks ago, from Natasha Noelle of Artistic Alley - a Gallery she co-runs with Sheila Tequila. Here's what she had to say:
"The owners and officers of Artistic Alley have decided to open a new branch. We are all lovers of art and have decided to expand our horizons. We know that there are artists who would love to hang their art for auction. Also, artists that would love to get some advice from more advanced artists.
Our plan is to open an alley that is for the beginner artist with potential. For artists who have felt perhaps intimidated to hang their art beside someone more advanced. Perhaps even been told that you are good but need more practice. This is your opportunity. Please respond on this thread if you are interested, with a link of where we can take a look at your art. Thanks so much"
Encouraging New Artists!
Natasha and Sheila provide a wonderful home for SmallWorlds art via their main Gallery, Artistic Alley. I was extra pleased to see their latest venture, which provides support to new and emerging artists... a win for us all! This gives us all more art to admire, and essential encouragement to these developing talents.
Please do visit the Gallery - the art is all for sale, and you can leave your bid in the guest-book beside each painting!
If you've not been painting long, it can feel overwhelming to display your art in the company of some of the really advanced artists exhibiting - and sometimes those feelings can get in the way of making sure you get your art out there!
I really enjoyed my visit to Junior Alley Artists, and I'll definitely be stopping back again for another look to see the new works that appear from this new and talented group within the SmallWorlds art community.
A few comments from the artist community...
Great idea, can't wait to see what the less advanced artists come up with, I love to see artists grow! - Lottie Rose-seeley
This is a great idea Nat. Often many new and lesser well known artists are looking for a break to spread their horizons in an established place and often don't know where to start. - Bavi Bav
Wonderful thread Nat. I can't think of a better place than the Alley to give some of the younger artists here a place to call home. The feedback and support at the Alley really couldn't be better. Woot! Here's to new beginnings. - Wheezy Bee
Visit Junior Alley Artists today - if you're an up-n-coming artist, I know you'll find it inspiring and if you get in touch with Natasha or Sheila via an in-world mail you may well join the ranks of Junior Alley Artists!
