July Art Challenge: The Winners!

I was awed and impressed by your entries into July's Art Challenge. You are a very talented bunch! The standard of entries was extremely high, which made judging awfully difficult. There were many amazing paintings entered that could easily have won the contest, and Honesty and I argued for a very long time trying to pick our winners; believe me, it was not an easy choice.

I found the composition particularly pleasing in this painting, and I love the framing effect. Lottie did an excellent job with the shading, proportion and position of the face and hand. Overall this is a fantastic piece.
