Shrines of the Masters
Recently, a forum thread by Calliope Diavolo caught my eye - she's created some temples to honor some of SmallWorlds most famous artists. I just had to go and visit the Shrines of the Masters, admire their paintings, and say a few prayers that one day I might learn to paint that well!
Creative Temple of Kota Phillips
The first temple I visited was the most recently created one. It honors the art of Kota Phillips, and has lots of amazing paintings on display. At the temple I read that Kota has long been admired for her bold use of color and intense subject matter.
I stopped in front of one of Kota's Self Portraits for a few quiet moments of appreciation before heading on to the next shrine.
Temple of Tunococ Coconut
When I entered Tunococ's temple, I learned he is best known for his lanscapes, particularly of the American Great Northwest. There are several stunning landscapes on display in Tunococ's temple, as well as some examples of his other styles of art.
I lit a candle in honor of Tunococ and offered up a short prayer before moving on.

Sacred Shrine of Wheezy Bee
Wheezy Bee is a legendary artist, and I was excited to visit her shrine. According to the information I read when I entered, she is known for her photorealism and detailed use of small brushwork. The paintings on display certainly show off her amazing talent.
I kept my voice down to a hushed and reverent whisper when I visited Wheezy's shrine, but I did summon the courage to murmur a blessing before I left.

Inspired Shrine of Itis Me
On visiting this shrine, I learned that Itis Me is renowned for her romantic style and amours portraits. There are some very fine examples of her work on display, and I made sure to look through the Flickr Frame show, as well as viewing the canvases hung in the shrine.
Before moving on, I closed my eyes and gave thanks to Itis Me for sharing her talent with us.

Amazing Shrine of YourArtist Rob
YourArtist Rob's art has been called sultry, evocative, and sexy. I think that mood has been captured in the design of his shrine, which is decorated in red and white, and lit up with glowing fireballs. The paintings on display are well chosen to show off YourArtist Rob's distinctive style.
I sat for a moment to let the passion and beauty of the space and YourArtist Rob's paintings wash over me.

Finally my tour of the Shrines of the Masters was over, and I went on my way feeling both humbled and inspired. Thanks to the Master Artists who create such amazing art, and to Calliope Diavolo and all those citizens involved in putting together these beautiful temples. You can be sure I will return!
