Fright Nite Film Festival - Win a Golden Dan!
Greetings SmallWorlds movie lovers and film directors!

Here at SWHQ, we just love Halloween - for us there's just nothing better than hanging out with friends in-world for some good scary fun!
You may be surprised to learn that I'm a big scary movie fan, and I thought it would be just fantastic to combine SmallWorlds AND Halloween AND scary movies, all in the one frightening package!
I am very excited to bring you details of a fantastic movie contest that is bound to send a hundred-hedgehogs-worth of prickles right up the back of your neck - and you've got the chance to win one of three Golden Dan statues!
The Fright Night Film Festival!
Do you have a great idea for a really scary SmallWorlds movie? If so, now's your chance to make it - and if you're voted among the most popular on the SmallWorlds YouTube channel you could win!
As many of you know, we always release a Halloween theme and items, they're all coming up really soon, and they'll no doubt provide terrific backdrops and props for your movie! I'd hate to spoil the surprise before we release them, so my lips are well & truly sealed...
Vote on the Official SmallWorlds Cinema Youtube Channel
The Fright Nite Film Festival opens at 4.30pm (SWT/EST) on Thursday 27th October (BST - Thursday 27th 9.30pm, NZT - Friday October 28 9.30am, Sydney Australia - Friday 28th, 7.30am.)
We'll be running the contest through what is called the YouTube Moderator module. Simply submit your video link to our SmallWorlds Cinema channel and people then will be able to vote for your film by clicking "Like this suggestion". The moderator module is located BELOW the main channel window. See image at the bottom of this story. The top 10 videos that "rise to the top" by way of popularity/number of likes will be placed on a shortlist and our panel of SWHQ judges will select the best three! It is very IMPORTANT to note that "likes" in the Moderator module on the SmalWorlds Cinema Channel are totally different from the ordinary YouTube video "likes" and are counted separately. For the contest purposes, it is only the likes that are made in the Moderator Module that will be counted.
Again, check the screenshot at the bottom of the story which clearly shows where the Moderator Module is located. This where you need to submit your entry (after the 27th of October), and where you also need to "like" (or vote).

Win a Golden Dan Statue!
Each of our three winners will receive a coveted Golden Dan statue! There are very few of these in-world, and an extremely rare item like this is well worth winning. After the festival has ended, we'll install three YouTube players permanently featuring the three winning entries in the Fright Nite Movie Theater space.
(NOTE: SmallWorlds Cinema Channel votes are calculated separately from any "likes" you may have received while uploaded to the main YouTube site).
The Fright Nite Movie Theatre!
We're creating a Fright Night movie theater for you to come and view the Fright Nite Film Festival entries.
You
may want to bring a friend, it's not somewhere you'll want to come
alone - it's going to be a totally terrifying in-world movie
experience!
