Workday Style!

Hello darlings

I do apologize for the delay in my column this week. If you check the Scene in SmallWorlds section you'll see why... we've moved house and its been a very busy time here at SWHQ. With the new themed items being released in Smallwear I've found that I've had an extremely busy week.

Well sweeties, since moving office has been top of mind this week, and the area we've moved into is certainly rather a stylishly eclectic one, 'what to wear to the office" is an issue that's been foremost in Coco's mind. Here at SWHQ the style 'tone' has always been very casual... I love to see that the staff here wear what they feel most comfortable in; however occasionally I do like to see a little more effort being taken! Occasionally I try and suggest that we have a "dress your best" day but no-one seems terribly interested darlings! To be honest, from what I've seen since I began working here I have observed that the citizens of SmallWorlds seem to be much more stylish than the team who creates the game! (Oooo I can feel them all breathing down my neck as I type this!)

As you know sweeties, I am a firm believer in wearing what makes you feel good. If you do have choice in what you wear to work, due to the amount of time we spend there it's important to make sure that you wear things that will help you be as productive as you can.. taking into account your physical comfort, the colors you wear, the style (do you feel comfortable / out of place / relaxed / stressed/). The ultimate question for a great work outfit is: is what you're wearing an expression of the you you want to be at work that day? if you can answer yes, then you've got fabulous work style!

SmallWorlds Style Icon Competition - Design a SWHQ Uniform

So - from all of these musings on "what to wear to the office" I've come up with rather a fun idea my little team of stylish virtualistas! Imagine that you've been asked to design a uniform for the staff at SWHQ! What would it look like? Tell me why you've chosen the look you've created.

Bear in mind that we have both male and female staff members. For the competition you can choose to enter a male outfit, a female outfit or both! I'll let you know next week what the responses were like - who knows, you might herald a whole new interest in style here at SWHQ...I for one am certainly looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
